About Hannah James

Hannah James, MBACP, BSc (Hons), is an experienced counsellor, clinical supervisor and Therapeutic Lead for the charity ACTS FAST. She has an extensive background in trauma-informed therapeutic practice.

Hannah has worked with victim-survivors of trauma, including childhood sexual abuse and domestic abuse. She has more than twenty years’ experience working with children and families in a range of roles, including over ten years in therapeutic practice.

Hannah currently delivers training to professionals across Dorset on trauma-informed practice and domestic abuse. She is passionate about sharing knowledge, skills and insight to empower professionals to better understand the impact of trauma and support victim-survivors effectively.

Her approach also encourages professionals to prioritise their own wellbeing when undertaking emotionally demanding work.
