I am one of the founders of New Horizons Network and I work as an Integrative Humanistic Counsellor as well as a qualified Life Coach specialising in Wellness Coaching.
If you are struggling with life at the moment you may find it beneficial to work through your problems and feelings with me as a qualified counsellor to support you through these times. Whether the negative issues that you are facing in life have arisen as a result of childhood experiences or something that you have experienced later on in life, I am able to offer a safe space and professional support for you to work through the issues that are preventing you from achieving the life you want to live.
Through a safe and confidential, respectful and non-judgemental relationship we can explore the problems you are facing. I will work with you to gain insight into your current situation and understand what is preventing you from moving in a positive direction and help you to find ways to make those positive steps to where you want to be.
I am trained using Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt, as well as being trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and I always aim to work according to your own individual needs rather than a ‘fit-all’ approach.
I am also a qualified Life Coach and my main area of specialism is Wellness Coaching. This is especially beneficial if you have a diagnosis that could be helped by lifestyle choices, such as Type 2 Diabetes, or if you would simply want to look at ways in which you can become a healthier person. By looking at factors such as stress, exercise and healthy eating, we will work together to help you achieve a healthier life.
Often we simply act out our daily lives on autopilot, not realising why we think, feel or behave the way that we do. Counselling and coaching can help you understand more about yourself and become more aware of why you do what you do or feel what you feel. Without this awareness it is difficult to make positive changes, but as you become more aware, you are in a better position to change. Whether this involves dealing with past issues that are still having a major impact on you today, or working through negative thought patterns, counselling can help.
I am able to offer both short-term and long-term face-to-face counselling on an individual basis. As a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP number 728000), I follow their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
Please contact me if you would like further information and/or to set up an initial assessment/meeting. This is a chance to discuss how I can help you and to see if you would like to work with me, and you are under no obligation to do so if it doesn’t feel right for you.
