A bit about Antonio Ruffo
Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. My name is Antonio, and I am a humanistic integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My approach considers the whole person, addressing your mental, physical, and emotional needs. I draw from different therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis, and Gestalt Therapy, to create a personalised experience tailored specifically for you.
My primary goal is to establish a trusting, non-judgmental relationship that enhances your self-awareness. By gaining insight into the underlying causes of your concerns and identifying what triggers your behaviour, you can confidently set goals and develop new habits that enhance your overall satisfaction with life.
As a humanistic counsellor, I aim to support and guide you with empathy and understanding, rather than directing you. You are the true expert on yourself, and only you can fully grasp the significance of your experiences. Together, we will explore your journey at a pace that feels comfortable for you, always prioritising your feelings and needs.
I am a creative counsellor, in my practice, I incorporate a variety of interventions such as stone, drawing, music, dreams, story cubes, and emotion cards. This approach allows you to feel safe while processing your deep or painful experiences and overcoming emotional blocks, helping you connect more deeply with who you are
I have lived in England, Italy, Ireland, and Mexico; therefore, diversity is at the forefront of my practice. I recognise and appreciate differences respectfully and empathetically. My professional perspective is also enriched by a personal interest in African anthropology, which deepens my understanding of cultural dynamics, systemic influences, and diverse human experiences.
